ALL THE CLUTTER OF MY LIFE… (www.michelleford.ca)

I don’t have to many photos of myself these days… nor really from the past, come to think about it. Even as a photographer I very rarely take the time to do any self portraits. As much as I love a nice photo of myself as the next person I hate being in front of the camera (also I had no idea how to work the self timer on my hasselblad till today) and get and overwhelming feeling of self indulgence when i part take in a photograph the centers me. (you know the same kind of guilt after you eat a delicious piece cheesecake)..bla bla bla… long jabber short, i had to submit a self portrait for the HERE is NOW zine they are printing so today got myself dolled up in my favourite blanket to find an adequate photo to submit.

A few weeks back my friend Derek asked me to be part of a show called HERE is NOW. Some of my close and very talented friends are also in it. You should probably come and hang out and have a drink. Its on Friday January 29th at The Chapel.

For the past week I have been blessed with the presence of one of my longest and dearest friends, Jacqueline Lane. Jacque is currently finishing her grad project at OCAD and asked me to photograph a part of her work. here are a few snaps I took of her while she was visiting.
